About Highfields

History

Highfields is a half timbered manor house,  recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. Highfields is a family home and has a fascinating history having been in the Baker and Dod families for several generations. The house was built in 1615 by William Dod and then extended by William Baker, a leading architect in the 1740's. The house is currently lived in by the Baker family.

Events

The grounds of Highfields makes a perfect venue for marquee events and weddings, with the fantastic back drop of the stunning Jacobean manor house.  We charge a ground rent for the use of the land (dry hire service) you are then free to make your own arrangements with regards to marquee company, caterer etc. We can provide contact details of some companies who have been used previously, to help you with your event organising.

Location

Highfields is situated in the North West of England on the Southern tip of Cheshire, a few hundred yards from the Shropshire border. It is located about 2.5 miles from the village of Audlem and approximately 10 miles from the towns of Nantwich, Whitchurch and Market Drayton.
